Curriculum

Newton College follows a combined curriculum model, offering the British National Curriculum alongside the Spanish National Curriculum. In Secondary and Sixth Form, we also implement the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (IBDP).

Students follow the British National Curriculum, the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the Spanish national curriculum. 

Students follow the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) during Secondary and the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Sixth Form.

Yes, our curriculum equips students with internationally recognised qualifications, enabling them to access leading universities both in Spain and globally.

Yes, Newton College offers Early Years education based on the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC). 

Multilingual and multicultural environment

The main language of instruction is English. Students also study Spanish Language and Literature and Valenciano, with French and German introduced from Secondary school.

Most lessons are delivered in English, except for Spanish Language and Literature and Valenciano subjects, which are taught in their respective languages. 

Students are introduced to Spanish and Valenciano from Early Years. French and German are offered from the start of Secondary school. 

Campus facilities and environment

The campus includes dining halls, a cookery room, psychomotricity classrooms, art and music workshops, fully equipped science laboratories, a TV and radio studio, an Innovation Centre and a variety of sports courts and pitches. 

Yes, student wellbeing is a priority. We provide a secure, inclusive environment where students are supported academically, socially and emotionally.

Yes, Early Years students benefit from dedicated classrooms and learning areas designed for their specific developmental needs. 

The school follows a structured schedule, which varies by grade level. 

Yes, lunch is compulsory for all students.

Yes, bus services are available for students. 

Co-curricular and specialist academies

Students can participate in a wide range of activities including arts, music, sports and technology clubs, as well as language and academic enrichment programmes. 

Yes, we offer specialist academies for sports and performing arts, allowing students to pursue their talents with professional coaching and facilities. 

Yes, we offer an English immersion summer camp for children aged 3 to 12, featuring themed adventures, creative activities and collaborative games.

Admission and enrolment

Students can enrol once they start walking. 

Families can submit an enquiry through our website. Our Admissions Team will guide you through the application process. 

A family visit with the student is required as part of the Early Years admission process. 

Yes, from Year 3 onwards, students must take assessments in English, Spanish and Mathematics. 

Families must submit the last three years’ school reports as part of the application process. 

Yes, applicants undergo age-appropriate assessments to ensure they are placed in the most suitable learning environment.

We encourage early applications as places are limited and in high demand throughout the academic year. 

Visa

Yes, non-European Union (EU) students will require a student visa to attend Newton College.

While Newton College cannot process visa applications directly, we can provide supporting documents required for the visa process. 

Typically, families must submit proof of enrolment, a valid passport, financial support evidence and medical insurance, among other requirements. We advise consulting the Spanish consulate for full details.
