Secondary School

During Secondary School, students benefit from a programme that combines the National Curriculum and the Middle Years Programme (MYP). They focus on developing resilience, critical thinking and global awareness while preparing for examinations.

Global contexts

Global contexts

In the IB framework, students are encouraged to think globally through six key contexts - identities and relationships, orientation in space and time, personal and cultural expression, scientific and technical innovation, globalisation and sustainability and equity and development.

These areas promote international-mindedness, critical thinking and intercultural understanding. By exploring real-world issues, students develop personal values, inquiry skills and a sense of responsibility towards the planet, preparing them to become engaged and globally aware individuals.

Angela Hare

The joy of teaching! A school is only as good as the teachers and students that form it. Every day, in some way, the children here at Newton make my efforts worthwhile and my role rewarding, whilst my colleagues support and inspire me.
