Designing the future with creativity and critical thinking

What I like most about the subject of Design and Technology is that it is very practical and creative and allows students to develop effective problem-solving skills. By working on real-life situations, it encourages critical thinking and prepares them for future challenges in different areas of life.

Helping shape bright futures

In addition to my duties as Newton's secretary, one of the aspects I enjoy most about my job is having the opportunity to support students in their final three years by advising them on which study pathways to follow and helping them achieve their goals.

Newton gave me the confidence to aim high—both personally and professionally.

Studying Industrial Technologies Engineering at Comillas Pontifical University and now pursuing a double Master’s in Industrial Engineering and Smart Industry, I can say Newton College played a big role in shaping who I am today. One of my most memorable experiences was travelling to the Netherlands for MUN simulations, where I took part as a judge at the International Criminal Court. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me skills that still help me today. Thanks to Newton, I entered university fluent in English, with a solid level of German, and—most importantly—unafraid of public speaking. From job interviews to presentations, those early experiences made a difference. Beyond academics, Newton helped me stay focused and mature, while still enjoying my youth. If I had to describe my time there in three words? Maturity, Learning and Youth… with a lot of laughs along the way!

Newton College gave me a future to build on

After studying Civil Engineering in Madrid, I now work in consultancy and technical offices for civil engineering projects. Looking back, what stood out most from my time at Newton was the strong bond between students and teachers—it created a truly supportive environment. The school’s academic level was well above other schools in the area, and that gave me a clear perspective on what I wanted for my future. If I had to sum it up in three words? A future project.”
