24-10-2024

79 Year 13 students attended UNITOUR 2024 in Alicante, gaining insights on universities, scholarships and exchange programs from 30+ institutions.

On 16th October 2024, 79 of our Year 13 students attended UNITOUR 2024, a major university guidance fair held at the Auditorium of the Diputación de Alicante (ADDA). This event provided an excellent opportunity for students to explore their higher education options, gather essential information and plan their academic futures.

What is UNITOUR?

UNITOUR is one of Spain’s leading university guidance fairs, designed to help students make informed decisions about their next steps after school. The fair brings together top national and international universities, along with representatives from university residences, scholarship programs and student support services.

What did our students gain from the experience?

During the event, our students had the chance to:

Explore a wide range of degree programs from over 30 participating universities.

Learn about scholarships and financial aid options to support their studies.

Discover international exchange programs, including Erasmus+ and other global opportunities.

Discuss career pathways and industry partnerships offered by different institutions.

Get advice on university admissions processes and entry requirements.

The fair was an invaluable experience for our Year 13 students as they prepare for life beyond school. Engaging directly with university representatives allowed them to ask questions, compare options and gain clarity on their future academic and career paths.

Why are events like UNITOUR important?

Choosing a university and degree program is a major decision, and having access to firsthand information helps students make confident choices. Events like UNITOUR provide:

Personalised guidance – Students can speak directly to admissions officers and current students.

Exposure to diverse opportunities – From local universities to international study options.

Networking possibilities – Connecting with professionals and peers who share similar interests.

Looking ahead

We are proud of our students for taking the initiative to explore their futures, and we encourage them to continue researching their options as they prepare for university applications.

For those who missed the event or want to revisit the information, many universities offer virtual open days and online resources. Additionally, our school’s careers and university guidance team is always available to support students with their next steps.

Stay tuned for more updates on upcoming university preparation events, and congratulations to our Year 13 students for taking this important step toward their futures!
